The 2024 Kilmacanogue Show was an unforgettable family day out. At 10 a.m., various competitions among equestrian schools began. There were also dog competitions at the event. Everyone was very pleased with the dogs that guarded the geese and demonstrated a master class in corralling them into a flock. Many County Wicklow organizations, such as the Purple House, Lakers, Our Lady’s Hospice & Care, and many others, had stands at the event.
Visitors explored numerous trade stands featuring unique goods and crafts from local businesses. The food and drink offerings were exceptional, with highlights including the famous local raspberries and delicious ice cream. It was a fantastic summer day that left everyone extremely happy!
Community Volunteers from the Wicklow Volunteer Centre assisted at the Purple House tent. We helped wherever needed, ensuring people and competition participants on horses found the right direction. Our team is very grateful to Veronica O’Reilly for the invitation. We believe that we will collaborate again in the future.
