It’s International Volunteer Year, and we want to understand how you experience volunteering in 2026.  We want to ensure that the work we do is guided by real-life experience and addresses the needs of volunteers in our communities. To do that, we need your help!

We have put together a short survey which should take less than three minutes to complete. We would really appreciate it if you could share your experience with us – all responses are anonymous.

The survey closes on Sunday, 15 March 2026.

Join the Wicklow Community Volunteers Team!

Joining our Community Volunteers Team allows you to volunteer locally in a flexible way that suits your schedule. At the same time, you will be helping local community groups and causes that you care about.   The team of volunteers is managed and supported at events by a staff member from the Wicklow Volunteer Centre .

As a Community Volunteer, there will be a variety of roles that you can take part in.  Some will suit those who are comfortable being outdoors and on their feet.  Once you are signed up, we will share different volunteer opportunities with you. These roles are specifically styled for the Community Volunteer Team.

Volunteers just need to be enthusiastic, reliable, and able to volunteer within a diverse team.  Often, you will need to be comfortable dealing with new people and relating to the public in a positive and friendly way.

Check out our upcoming Community Volunteer Events in 2026.  If you register with us as a Community Volunteer, you can join in, help out, and have fun at any of the events listed at the link below.  You can pick and choose the events that interest you and suit your schedule, and become part of our Community Volunteer Team.
