This year, our volunteer team had the joy of meeting Santa across several locations in County Wicklow, marking a magical beginning to the 2025-2026 festive season. It was a wonderful chance to bring together both our Community Volunteers team and the Wicklow Volunteers team for these fun celebrations.
We officially kicked off the season on November 22nd, when Santa arrived in Greystones, Arklow, and Bray. All three events took place on the same day, transforming the towns into bright, festive hubs filled with music, lights, and excited families. The atmosphere was warm and joyful, and our volunteers loved supporting the events and getting into the Christmas spirit.
The festive celebrations continued the very next day, November 23rd, in Wicklow Town, where families gathered to welcome Santa. The streets were full of Christmas colour and children lining up to meet Santa. It was a lively, heartwarming family day.
We wrapped up our Christmas events on November 29th in Blessington, bringing the 2025 season to a perfect close. Christmas lights, music, and the happy of faces in the crowd. It was a wonderful finish to this year’s festive events, and we are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make these celebrations so special.

…I just wanted to extend a huge thank you for all your hard work in organising the volunteers for the turning on of the Christmas lights and the Santa Parade in Wicklow Town yesterday.
We genuinely would have been lost without you. Your coordination, enthusiasm, and dedication made everything run smoothly, and the event was all the better for it. You all did a brilliant job, and it certainly didn’t go unnoticed.
