Community Clean-Up in The Vevay area of Bray Co Wicklow.
Wicklow Volunteer Centre, in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Officers from Wicklow County Council and volunteers from the IPAS centre in Newtownmountkennedy, successfully collected and removed 9 tonnes of litter in just 2 hours during a clean-up event at O’Byrne Lane off O’Byrne Road in Bray. This impressive result, at an historic problem site, was achieved despite the rain that started an hour into the event.
All the volunteers remained in high spirits throughout, even singing songs as they worked. We hope that the residents of Bray are pleased with the volunteers’ efforts and the positive impact on the community.
