We recently held two engaging and inspiring workshop for the Ukrainian community in Baltinglass and Blessington. These events brought the community together in a wonderful way. One of the highlights was a captivating workshop on gingerbread colouring led by our dedicated volunteer, Tetiana Halytska. Participants, both children and adults from the Ukrainian community, found themselves immersed in the world of creative confectionery art. The joy and enthusiasm on their faces were truly heart-warming.
During the gingerbread colouring session, attendees not only learned new techniques but also discovered the joy of self-expression through art. The workshop encouraged creativity and allowed everyone to unleash their imagination on delicious canvases, creating edible masterpieces that they were proud to take home.
The success of these workshop extended beyond the immediate satisfaction of the participants. Many adults in the community were so inspired by the event that they expressed a strong desire to get involved and become volunteers themselves. It’s a testament to the power of community engagement and how events like these can foster a sense of belonging and encourage active participation.
These events were not only educational but also a great opportunity for cultural exchange and building a sense of unity among the Ukrainian community.
As we move forward, we are excited to continue organizing events and workshops that bring the community in Baltinglass and Blessington closer together.
