Storm Pyper, Manager
Storm joined County Wicklow Volunteer Centre in April 2023. She has been working in the community sector for the past 15 years. Throughout this time, she has managed various community support centres. Storm has a true passion for working in the community and trying to make a difference by helping families and individuals where she can. Throughout her career, she has seen first-hand the invaluable roles that volunteers play within our communities, and she looks forward to helping promote and support this essential sector.
Yvonne Ryan, Placement Officer
Yvonne joined the CWVC team as Placement Officer in 2005, having previously worked with Canon Ireland as a Personnel Manager, where she gained vast experience of HR issues, conducting interviews, and best practices in personnel administration. Yvonne has brought this experience to bear on her role within CWVC and has helped to grow the centre into a high-quality volunteering service. Yvonne supports both organisations and individuals in her local areas.
Yvonne has trained in equality, health and safety, child protection and quality auditing, and is an active participant in a number of local groups with a special interest in homelessness.
Fiona Downes, Centre Manager, Wicklow Town and Arklow
Fiona joined the team in 2006 as manager of our centres in Wicklow town and Arklow. Fiona’s background is in community development, and she has worked in Ireland, Haiti and Sudan. In Ireland, Fiona worked with Tallaght Youth Services, Irish Wildlife Trust and the County Wicklow KWETB Adult Guidance Service. Fiona supports both organisations and individuals in her local areas and conducts outreaches across the county.
Fiona is a community activist and has volunteered and continues to volunteer with a number of organisations. Fiona has completed an Institute of Technology Carlow NFQ Certificate in Building Capacity and Enhancing Leadership in Intercultural Understanding and Leadership.
Olena Geleveria, Community Volunteer and Displaced Person Support Co-Ordinator, Wicklow Town, Bray and Arklow
Olena joined the team in July 2023 as a multilingual speaking Community Volunteer and Displaced Person Support Co-Ordinator of our centres in Wicklow town, Bray and Arklow. Olena’s background is in sales and managing people. Olena is a community activist and has volunteered and continues to volunteer with a number of organisations.
Kateryna Pusieva, Administrator & Volunteer Assistant Coordinator
Kateryna joined the team in May 2025 as a multilingual speaking Administrator and Volunteer Assistant Coordinator. She holds a Master of Law from Kyiv Maritime Academy in Ukraine and has completed further certifications in Office Administration at WWETB in Ireland. Kateryna is a dedicated community activist who has volunteered extensively with Meals on Wheels and local environmental campaigns.
